Desynchronization Attacks on Watermarks
نویسنده
چکیده
Digital watermarking is used for the copyright protection of multimedia documents like image. One problem in it is the desynchronization attacks of the watermark at the receiver. Here a channel model for watermark reception with non perfect synchronization is introduced. Under the given channel model the capacity of SCS water marking and imperfectly synchronized reception is derived. One important result is that the capacity of SCS watermarking depends on the document power as long perfect synchronization is not achieved.

Detection-Theoretic Analysis of Desynchronization Attacks in Watermarking
This paper studies the effects of desynchronization attacks such as delay and warping on the performance of watermark detection systems. First, we quantify the connection between attack channel estimation accuracy and detection performance. Second, we show how to design watermarks that minimize probability of error of the detector. Evaluation of the optimal likelihood ratio test is often comput...
متن کاملA Desynchronization Resilient Watermarking Scheme
This paper presents a content-based desynchronization resistant digital image watermarking scheme. The image content is represented by strong important feature points obtained by our robust and improved Harris corner detector. These feature points are more resistant to geometric attacks and are therefore used by the Delaunay triangle matching and image restoration method to reduce synchronizati...
متن کاملA Channel Model for Watermarks Subject to Desynchronization Attacks
One of the most important practical problems of blind Digital Watermarking is the resistance against desynchronization attacks, one of which is the Stirmark random bending attack in the case of image watermarking. Recently, new blind digital watermarking schemes have been proposed which do not suffer from host-signal interference. One of these quantization based watermarking scheme is the Scala...
متن کاملInsertion, deletion robust audio watermarking: a set theoretic, dynamic programming approach
Desynchronization vulnerabilities have limited audio watermarking’s success in applications such as digital rights management (DRM). Our work extends (blind-detection) spread spectrum (SS) watermarking to withstand time scale desynchronization (insertion/deletions) by applying dynamic programming (DP). Detection uses short SS watermark blocks with a novel O(N logN) correlation algorithm that pr...
متن کاملDetection-theoretic analysis of warping attacks in spread-spectrum watermarking
This paper studies the effects of desynchronization attacks such as delay and warping on the performance of blind spread-spectrum watermark detection systems. The host signal is modeled as a colored Gaussian signal. Evaluation of the optimal likelihood ratio test is often computationally expensive, so as a practical alternative, we propose a family of quadratic detectors and construct the detec...
